Cover Feature: Toward High Energy Density Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries: Recent Progress and Future Perspectives (Batteries & Supercaps 9/2022)

Abstract

The Cover Feature illustrates as-reported strategies to develop high-voltage aqueous zinc-ion batteries and propose guidelines to attain advanced zinc-based system. Aqueous zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs) are promising alternatives for conventional batteries due to their safety, economic benefits, and facile manufacturing processes. However, they show insufficient energy density related with low operating potential which restricts practical utilization in turn. More information can be found in the Perspective Article by W.-J. Song, S. Park and co-workers.
