Miniaturized Dual Band U-Shaped Structure Microstrip Patch Antenna for Wireless Applications

Abstract

In this paper, a U-shaped microstrip slot antenna with dual frequencies of 1.68GHz and 2.78GHz is created. The suggested antenna construction provides a wide range of communications capabilities for the operating frequencies, as well as a large bandwidth and double band. The substrate for the proposed antenna is FR4. The substrate thickness is 1.6 mm, and the U-shaped antenna has a relative permittivity of 4.2 and a dielectric loss tangent of 0.002. The suggested U-shaped structure has simulated and analyzed the gain, return loss, VSWR, and radiation pattern using a modelling tool.
