Abstract

The selection of the appropriate form of wound therapy at this time is not an easy one, and the growing need for effective wound care regularly needs to be addressed. Wound healing is influence by the severity of the lesion and suitable dressing techniques and equipment. Hydrogel is the most important of the many materials used in wound dressings because it creates a permanent wet surface in the wound and absorbs the exudates (Lazarus et al., 1994).
