Thermokarst lake and pond dataset of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP)

Abstract

Dataset supporting: "Sentinel-based inventory of thermokarst lakes and ponds across permafrost landscapes on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau" Zhiqiang Wei¹, Lei Wang², Cunde Xiao^*2, Zhiheng Du^*3, Jiahui Lin², Yaru Feng², Qian Xu³ These dataset include five polygon vector files (.shp), which include thermokarst lakes and ponds ranging from 500 m² to 3 × 10⁶ m² across the entire QTP permafrost landscapes. Attribute items contain: Area (m²), Long (Longitude), Lati (Latitude), Perm_Type (Permafrost type), Elevation (m), Basin (Basin distribution), Annual_Tem (Mean annual air temperature, ℃), Annual_Pre (Mean annual precipitation, mm), Therm_Stab (Permafrost ground thermal stability), ALT (Active layer thickness, m), Vegetation (Vegetation type), NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index), Soil_Tex (Soil texture), SAWC (Soil available water storage capacity, mm/m).
