Wideband Slot-Coupled Circularly Polarized Dual-Patch Antenna

Abstract

In this paper, a wideband circularly polarized patch antenna with rods is presented. Sub-6GHz, due to the long transmission distance and wide cellular coverage, mature technology is currently the most important frequency band for 5G communications. Using the patch antenna structure, a simple, low-cost and good-performance antenna solution can be realized in Sub-6GHz. This antenna provides gain of above 7.5 dB at operating frequency with impedance bandwidth of 2.64 GHz (3.81-6.45 GHz) and AR bandwidth of 1.57 GHz (4.81-6.38 GHz). The overall size of this antenna is 50 mm*50 mm*9.4 mm.
