In vivo Optoacoustic Tomography with Ultrahigh-Resolution using Silicon Photonics

Abstract

New ultrasound-detection technology for ultrahigh-resolution optoacoustic tomography, based on an optical resonator fabricated in silicon-photonics platform coated by a sensitivity-enhancing polymer, and experimentally demonstrated in-vivo with bandwidths exceeding 200MHz and lateral resolutions beyond 20µm.
