Responsabilidad social universitaria: percepción en estudiantes de Posgrado Facultad de Ciencias Administrativas Universidad Central del Ecuador

Abstract

This work was developed with the purpose of measuring the perception of university social responsibility in postgraduate students of the Faculty of Administration of the Universidad Central del Ecuador, due to the fact that it is necessary to raise awareness of the way to assume this indispensable condition for the life of all public and private companies, where the university is included as the entity in charge of training quality professionals, social responsibility being a key axis of said training. The information was collected through a questionnaire on 11 central dimensions of university social responsibility, each dimension was assessed through 6 basic questions. The results obtained show levels with high scores in the dimensions of: a) interdependence-interdiscipline, b) sociability-solidarity; while the lowest score is credited to the dimension of c) environment-sustainable development. The results obtained around the dimensions where the highest scores were obtained were interdependence and interdiscipline; as well as the sociability and solidarity typical of a stimulus to be supportive among students, and the lowest score received the dimension of environment and sustainable development.
