Abstract

A self‐cracking structure is introduced to construct a stretchable electrophoretic e‐paper display device. Instead of the conventional sandwich structure, the proposed device directly forms electrodes upon the display layer without laminating an extra layer. This structure avoids layer‐to‐layer mismatch under the long‐term loading cycles and exhibits high stretchability and robustness. A prototype is demonstrated to simultaneously have stretchable, washable, and re‐writable features, which provides a new paradigm for future wearable electronics.
