This paper is the result of a bibliographical research that investigated the trajectory of inclusion in Brazil in order to expand knowledge about the historical process related to the social, professional and educational insertion of people with special needs, since the end of the 18th century until nowadays.For this purpose, we sought to study this theme from theoretical conceptions that explain this object in conceptual, documentary and institutional terms, highlighting the time, the main constituent aspects and the figures responsible for the development and consolidation of the Brazilian inclusive process.
