Abstract

In general, traffic congestion is a major problem during the emergency situations. It will not be easy to pass an ambulance immediately through the congested traffic. A new system has been proposed as a solution to this. Through this system, the traffic congestion and time consumption at traffic island can be solved. The proposed system can control the traffic for three junctions. If any emergency vehicle came through a specific lane, the RFID transmitter will collect the signal and will transmit the data. An RFID receiver will receive the data and will make the signal light from red to green and thus clears the specific lane. Depending upon the mass of transportation in the track, the time pattern will set into either 10 seconds/6 seconds. Through this the traffic congestion and time can be reduced which saves the life of many. The proposed system can repeatedly detect the mass of vehicles. The system can automatically allow the emergency vehicles. These are the main achievements achieved through the proposed system. Using RFID the vehicles which are moving can be read and distinguish effectively. Through the proposed system, the traffic congestion can be reduced, which in turn is beneficial to the society.
