In this work, a MIMO antenna in a linear configuration with 4 elements is put forward. This antenna is designed to target the millimeter-wave applications around the 60 GHz frequency range which covers the ISM band designated at 61 - 61.5 GHz. The width and length of the patch are considered as 1738 x 1363um and is etched on Rogers RT / Duroid 5880 (tm) which is taken as the substrate which possess a permittivity of around "2.2" and a "0.0009" tangent-loss value. The antenna proposed is assisted by an Artificial Magnetic Conductor. The material named Arlon Diclad 880 (tm) acts as the substrate for AMC. An impedance bandwidth of 4.3 GHz (59.3 - 63.6 GHz) is achieved by the proposed wideband MIMO antenna design. Total Active Reflection Coefficient, Diversity Gain, Envelope Correlation Coefficient and Mean Effective Gain, which constitute as important MIMO parameters are investigated and were found to be within the specific standards with TARC < -10 dB, MEG < 3 dB and ECC < 0.5. A 6 - layer homogeneous human head model is designed for computing the Specific Absorption Rate. It is found that for the MIMO antenna proposed the SAR specifications comply with the Federal Communications Commission's SAR limit, which is of 1.6 Watts/kg.
