104fs mode-locked fiber laser with a MXene-based saturable absorber

Abstract

We report an all-fiber erbium-doped laser mode-locked by a microfiber-based MXene saturable absorber, generating 104-fs pulses with 42.5-nm spectral width. Our work adds MXene to the growing catalogue of nanomaterials for future nonlinear photonics.
