IR‐Spectral Signatures of Aromatic–Sugar Complexes: Probing Carbohydrate–Protein Interactions

Abstract

Schlüsselwechselwirkungen: Zucker-Aren-Komplexe wurden in Molekularstrahlexperimenten erzeugt und durch IR-„Ion-Dip“-Spektroskopie in der Gasphase beobachtet. Sie sind leistungsfähige Modelle für die selektive Erkennung in Protein-Zucker-Komplexen, beispielsweise zwischen dem Galactose-spezifischen Lectin aus Artocarpus hirsute und MeGal (siehe Bild).
