Hexanuclear Manganese(III) Single‐Molecule Magnets

Abstract

Cluster von Magneten: Hier werden die ersten Mangan-Einzelmolekülmagnete (SMMs) vorgestellt, die ausschließlich aus dreiwertigen Metallzentren bestehen. Es handelt sich um sechskernige Cluster mit zentraler [MnIII6(μ3-O)2(μ2-OR)2]12+-Einheit (siehe Bild, Mn gelb, O rot) und einem S=4-Grundzustand. Durch Variation der sauerstoffhaltigen Liganden sollte eine ganze Familie von SMMs zugänglich werden.
