Abstract

A highly precise and sensitive immune monitor is required to be biosensors for detecting various bio-marks from human blood. Localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) microfluidic optical biosensors allow label-free, high throughput, and real-time detection. Gold and silver nanoparticles have a collective oscillation of free electrons at their surface, where they can resonate with the incident light resulting in changes of wavelength. The higher sensitivity particles have, the more changes in wavelength are shown. In this project, for developing sensitivity of LSPR biosensor, Au@Ag core-shell nanobipyramids has been successfully synthesized with a LSPR peak at about 610 nm and relatively high refractive index sensitivity as 254 nm/RIU, where the ultralow concentration of different cytokines can be detected.
