Abstract

This paper presents 3D ultra wide band antennas modified to be multi band UWB antennas. The solution consists in creating stubs in the shape of the antenna to realize one or more filtering functions. A study of various topologies has been made and a model has been developed to control the creation of stop bands in the matching bandwidth of the antenna. Comparisons between the physical approach, simulations and measurements are presented and show good agreements between them. Parametrical studies show future possible developments of this approach.
