Abstract

Abstract Ti-6A1-6V-2Sn is an alpha-beta titanium alloy capable of heat treatment to very high strength levels. It provides effective weight saving when extruded shapes, thick plate sections, or forged parts are required for airborne assemblies operating at long times to temperatures up to 700 F. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, elasticity, and tensile properties as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on corrosion resistance as well as forming, heat treating, machining, joining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: Ti-44.
