A Giant Silver Alkynyl Cage with Sixty Silver(I) Ions Clustered around Polyoxometalate Templates

Abstract

Nano-Nuss: AgCCtBu reagiert mit AgOTf in Gegenwart eines Polyoxometallats (POM) als Templat unter Solvothermalbedingungen zu einem Kern-Schale-Nanocluster, dessen erdnussartige Struktur (siehe Bild) aus zwei Mo6O228−-„Nüssen“ (grün) und einer Ag60-Schale (lila) besteht. Nach elektrochemischen Untersuchungen wirkt die Silberschale als elektronisches Relais, und die POM-Kerne stabilisieren als Redoxpuffer den Cluster.
