Bac2's blank bipolar plates aid prototyping

Year: 2008 Journal:   Fuel Cells Bulletin Vol: 2008 (5)Pages: 9-9   Publisher: Elsevier BV

Abstract

UK-based fuel cell materials firm Bac2 used the recent Hannover Messe 2008 as an opportunity to launch its first standard product, blank bipolar plates for PEM fuel cells. The plates, which are based on ElectroPhen™, a unique conductive polymer developed by the firm, can be machined more easily than metal plates, making them ideal for fuel cell prototyping and development work, says the company.
