This article aims to show the result of a business diagnosis in terms of environmental social responsibility in a hotel establishment in the city of Cartagena de Indias, with the intention of promoting the concept of sustainable tourism in the region through the visualization of leading companies. The methodology used was descriptive with a qualitative approach, a case study was carried out; The techniques used were semi-structured interviews, direct observation and review of the organization’s documentation. The construction of a guide instrument for diagnosis was carried out. It is concluded that the hotel establishment is a type of leading company for being proactive in the incorporation of environmental practices that contribute to Sustainable Development.
