Analysis of wavelength-routed optical burst-switched network performance

Abstract

A new analytical model and results on the bandwidth utilization and wavelength re-use in wavelength-routed optical burst-switched (WROBS) networks are reported. These allow to derive a set of bounds for the network design and lightpath set-up time for dynamic network control and QoS-provisioning.
