Serverless Computing

Abstract

The first thing we would like you to think about now is what serverless computing actually is and why we like it enough to write an entire book about it. The term serverless computing might seem contradictory, as software that is accessible in the cloud always has some kind of server involved somewhere. And of course, serverless computing is a misnomer as it does not mean that there is no server involved in running your solution, but rather that you do not control the server yourself.
