A waveguide array based on rectangular waveguide with high gain and low side-lobe is designed in this paper. Inclined slot cut in the narrow wall of rectangular waveguides is employed for horizontal polarization (HP) radiation. The realized gain of single rectangular waveguide slot antenna reaches 21.1dBi and the side-lobe is below -34.7dB at the center frequency of 9.4 GHz. The utilization of single rectangular waveguide slot antenna constructs a 4×59 waveguide antenna array, whose total volume of the structure is 1411mm×59mm×24.86m. For the designed array antenna, the realized gain achieves 28.6dBi and the side-lobe is less than 35.7dB. Due to the characteristics of high gain, low profile, compact, low side-lobe level, and ease of processing, this antenna is suitable for satellite communication stations.
