This paper proposes a bowtie antenna design for three frequency bands. The antenna is optimized by both the Genetic Algorithm and Particle Swarm Optimization in order to get lower frequency bands than the original design without changing the size of the antenna. The Antenna structure consists of 8 metallic loaded strips at the surface of the antenna. The width of the strips is determined by running the Genetic Algorithm and PSO using the return loss S11 as constraint in order to minimize the return losses and increase the number of operational frequency bands. The obtained return losses are 11 dB, 11.25 dB, and 15.5 dB for 8 GHz, 9.4 GHz, and 10.95 when running the Genetic Algorithm while the obtained operational frequency bands are 8 GHz, 9.3 GHz, and 10.9 GHz for 12.75 dB, 11.25 dB, and 14 dB return losses. HFSS simulation will show the return loss and other antenna parameters. The obtained antenna parameters will be compared.
