NOMA Based Hybrid Satellite-Terrestrial Relay Networks

Abstract

In this study, a two-user downlink non-orthogonal multiple access scheme is considered in a hybrid satellite-terrestrial relay network, where the satellite applies Alamouti code while the users exploit receive antenna selection technique. To measure the system performance, outage probabilities of all the users are examined by deriving mathematical equations. The proposed system is also compared to the network in which all nodes are equipped with single antenna.
