The proposed dual-polarized antenna is formed of two printed dipoles excited by the integrated balun. By adding a metal rectangular patch between the dipole and the ground, the 3dB beam width is broadened from 96° to 126° at $\phi=0^{\circ}$ plane and $\phi=90^{\circ}$ plane when the proposed dual-polarized antenna operating in 3.3–3.6GHz, and the peak gain of the antenna is higher than 2.5dB. The impedance bandwidth of the antenna element is 3.26–4.56GHz $(\mathrm{S}11 < - 10\ \text{dB})$ , and the isolation between two ports is better than 25dB. The cross-polarization ratio of the proposed dual-polarized antenna operating at 3.4GHz is better than 24dB in the ±45° plane.
