In order to solve the problem of low utilization rate of the underlying network resources during the resource allocation of the service function chain, this paper proposes a resource allocation algorithm for the power communication network service function chain based on resource characteristics. The algorithm includes: network initialization, calculating the relative cost of the underlying nodes and the underlying links, constructing a logical function diagram for the service function chain request, and assigning the shortest and least costly underlying path for each link requested by the service function chain. In the step of calculating the relative cost of the underlying node and the underlying link, by calculating the relative cost value for all nodes and links, the load balance of the underlying network resources during resource allocation is realized. In order to improve the utilization of the underlying link resources, a logical function diagram construction mechanism is proposed to allocate the shortest and least costly underlying path for each link requested by the service function chain. In the performance analysis part, from the two dimensions of the availability rate of the underlying network resources and the success rate of the resource allocation of the service function chain, the algorithm in this paper is compared with the existing research, and it is verified that the algorithm in this paper has improved the utilization rate of the underlying network resources and services.
