This article presents a case study on the results of the Mayoralty of Medellín Elections on October 25, 2015. It explores the electoral behavior of traditional political parties and candidates whose speeches were against the political establishment. This research reflects an interest in electoral studies and a question about the dynamics of subnational systems. For this, the electoral patterns that precede the 2015 elections are analyzed, as well as the main characteristics of this electoral event are reconstructed. Also, it researches the agenda process that represented the security and the outsider as factors that determined the opinion agenda in the electoral context. For this, a visual representation of the main words used in government programs is presented, and a press record of the El Colombiano newspaper is made.
