The present world is growing very fast towards the development of civilization. Industries, factories, power plants, various government institutions, scientific institutions, and private organizations are growing by using limited and expensive natural energy sources. CO2, CFC, and other harmful greenhouse gases are being produced through the utilization of these resources. Approximately 40% of global CO2 emissions are emitted from electricity generation through the combustion of fossil fuels to generate the heat needed to power steam turbines. Burning these fuels results in carbon dioxide (CO2) production, the primary heat-trapping "greenhouse gas" responsible for global warming. Returning to renewables to help mitigate climate change and reduce greenhouse gases is an excellent approach that needs to be sustainable to meet the energy demand of future generations. Renewable energy sources for electricity and more efficient processes are needed to decrease greenhouse gas emission rates, in line with the Paris agreement adopted in 2015. The present chapter suggests some measures and the role of renewable energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, mitigate climate change, provide a clean environment, and ensure clean energy for all and future generations.
