Scienza aperta: una rivoluzione incompiuta

Abstract

Starting from the recently published book La rivoluzione incompiuta: la scienza aperta tra diritto d’autore e proprietà intellettuale, which collects five essays by Roberto Caso, professor of comparative law at the University of Trento, the article faces some of the main issues in scholarly communication. Caso examines the key points of the constantly evolving topics involved, with a particular emphasis on Italy, and to them the author of the article adds her considerations, covering current systems for research evaluation, bibliometrics, open access, copyright and the role of academic libraries.
