Android smartphones have become the most widely applied GNSS positioning device in daily life in recent years. The improvement of Android smartphone positioning accuracy would benefit multiple applications, including navigation, location-based service, etc. This paper presents a fast convergence real-time PPP method for Android smartphones. An Android APP (application) was developed to utilize the smartphone GNSS observations and NTRIP corrections to provide real-time sub-meter accuracy PPP solutions. The accurate PPP solutions are obtainable within several seconds, which is suitable for practical applications. Multiple field tests in different dynamics and environments, including static, on-dash driving, and walking scenarios, were conducted to verify the performance of the proposed PPP algorithm. The test results with Xiaomi MI8 and Samsung S20 Ultra indicate sub-meter positioning accuracy at 50% CEP.
