Abstract

Abstract Proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) enables the functionalization of prevalent organic moieties that are commonly regarded as energetically inaccessible. This chapter focuses on reductive and oxidative PCET in organic systems and the variety of catalyst systems that allow for the formation of ketyl and amidyl radicals for C–C and C–N bond-forming reactions.
