© 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.To deal with the chattering phenomenon and avoiding the necessity of previeous knowledge of the bounds of the uncertainties and disturbances of the system, a control solution using fuzzy systems, through an adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control (AFSMC) considering two variants of the parameter adaptation law, is described in this chapter.
