PVDF-Ni/PE-CNTs Composite Foams with Co-Continuous Structure for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding and Photo-Electro-Thermal Properties

Abstract

Considering the severity of electromagnetic wave contamination and the complexity of the application environment, it is urgent need to centralize multifunction into one material.The environmental durability and large-scale production of electromagnetic shielding foams are major obstacles for industrial applications.Herein, a multifunctional composites foam with high-efficiency electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI) and excellent photo-electro-thermal properties were fabricated by melt extrusion and batch foaming.Due to the porous structure and heterogeneous dielectric/magnetic interface, the obtained composite foams have high electrical conductivity (up to 1.08  10 -2 S/cm) and EMI shielding efficiency (SE) reaching ~27.8 dB in the K band.Moreover, the porous co-continuous structure, surface plasmon resonance effect and high conductivity endowed the composite foams with hydrophobicity, remarkable photo-thermal effect and voltage driven joule heating properties, which can guarantee work normally in humid and extreme cold conditions.This study provide inspiration for the further design and synthesis of high-performance multifunction EMI materials.
