Economic Load Dispatch Using Jellyfish Search Optimizer

Abstract

This paper presents use of Jellyfish Search Optimizer to find economic load dispatch of generating units considering transmission losses. Jellyfish Search is a newly developed metaheuristic algorithm used to find global optima. This technique works on jellyfish behavior in search of food by moving in there swam and with ocean current. The effectiveness of proposed method is illustrated by testing it on 6 generating unit system on different loads and it is then compared with lambda iterative and nature inspired PSO algorithm to find the most efficient among them. In results Jellyfish search algorithm gives optimum fuel cost along with reduced transmission losses than the other method compared.
