Microwave characterization of Polyamide 6 Graphene Nanoplatelet Composites

Abstract

A microwave characterization of samples based on neat of polyamide 6 and composites containing 3% weight of graphene nanoplatelets is presented. Two waveguide systems are used to get the complex permittivity of the samples, based on the WR430 and WR90 waveguide, covering different frequency bands. Results are comparable with the values available in the literature and on the material data sheets. A decreasing trend with frequency can be observed, that is confirmed by supplementary wide-band measurements made with the Keysight High Temperature Probe.
