HEAVY RAINFALL AND DROUGHT POTENTIAL IN THE CHAO PHRAYA RIVER BASIN, THAILAND

Abstract

大規模な河川流域は時空間的に偏った様々な水問題を抱えているため,流域一体の管理が極めて重要である.本研究の目的は多雨と少雨の両方の時空間偏在性を明らかにする.本稿では,タイ国中央部に位置するChao Phraya川流域を対象として,45年間の日雨量データを利用する.Chao Phraya川流域を58のサブ流域に分割し,873箇所の雨量観測所のデータから流域平均雨量を算出した.この雨量データを基に,流域の多雨と少雨のポテンシャルを議論する. 本研究の結果,多雨と少雨のポテンシャルの局所的な地域特性を得ることができた.また,特に少雨の傾向が極めて強いことがわかった.当該流域には長期の雨量データが揃っているので,水災害リスクの評価のためには,確率的概念だけに依らず,過去の雨量データを丁寧に分析する必要である.
