Abstract

The battery industry has undergone tremendous growth over the last couple of years-both in terms of technological growth and in the variety of applications. The need to optimize battery materials to meet the increasing demand for energy and to extend the operating range continue to be a challenge-more so now than ever before. Correspondingly, the demand for novelty in separator membranes to match the newer battery chemistries and geometries continues to grow.
