Multi-attribute decision making method with intuitionistic fuzzy sets

Abstract

The multi-attribute decision making problems with fuzziness and uncertainty can be made flexibly by intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS), which is characterized by membership and non-membership functions. In this paper, a general intuitionistic fuzzy weighted arithmetic mean (IFWAM G ) operator is presented by using the theory that fuzzy set (FS) is a special case of IFS. At the same time, a general fuzzy value of IFS is developed to compare alternatives where the ideal fuzzy value is recommended to use, and a practical procedure to rank alternatives is put forward.
