High-gain polarization reconfigurable antenna applied to 5G communication frequency band

Abstract

In this article, a high-gain polarizable reconfigurable antenna that can be applied to the 5G communication band is introduced. It consists of a circular radiation patch, two PIN diodes, a reflective floor, and a coaxial feeder. By changing the switching state of the PIN diode, the surface current path of the radiator is changed to achieve three polarization states. The antenna operating frequency band covers 4.8-5.0GHz, the axial ratio bandwidth reaches 30%, and the peak gain is 12dB.
