Over time, technology and electronics have progressed a lot. But as time has passed our demands and expectations from technology have also increased. Large systems have been becoming smaller, yet more efficient and cost-effective over time. This technology is used to mimic the functionality of our own body parts and have found various other regions where they could be applied. One such product is Electronic Skin or E Skin. There have been various developments over the last few years in E Skin. There have been studies on better design, fabrication, and materials, the different sensors that can be used, different algorithms and mechanisms that can be implemented. There have also been various experiments. This article discusses the various topics that show the progress and study made on artificial skin over the past couple of years and how the development of Electronic Skin will help us unlock a level of technology that makes interactions with machines a lot easier and siultaneously makes human lives better in a large number of ways.
