Abstract

In this paper, a novel high efficiency single-layer circularly polarized (CP) unit cell based on Pancharatnam-Berry (PB) phase is proposed for a meta-lens design at millimeter-wave band. The unit cell presents a stable high efficiency (>0.8) from 31 GHz to 33 GHz. Based on the unit, the meta-lens in function of focusing and waveform transformation is then designed and simulated with an overall size of 27×27 mm 2 . The simulation is in great agreement with the theoretical calculation, which indicates the lens would be a considerable candidate for high frequency wireless-communication system.
