Pengelolaan Wilayah Pesisir Secara Terpadu Dan Berkelanjutan Yang Berbasis Masyarakat

Abstract

Indonesia is an island nation with a total of 17,499 islands and a coastline length of approximately 81,000 km (DKP, 2008). This situation caused the coastal area to become a source of income for Indonesian society. The utilization and management of coastal areas carried out by the community and the regions in part has not fulfilled the provisions of sustainable and sustainable use of natural resources. This will affect the condition and sustainability of the coast and its environment. Reclamation policies that are not based on environmental impact analysis in some regions also affect the coastal ecosystem. Licensing of business development for the business community has so far been largely the authority of the center. Coastal areas have strategic value for national economic development and improvement of people's welfare and at the same time are areas that are very vulnerable to damage and destruction. Wise management by placing economic interests in proportion to environmental interests, both in the short and long term. Community-based management as a natural resource management system in a place where local communities are actively involved in the process of managing natural resources contained in it. The community development strategy can be carried out through two approaches, which are structural and non-structural.
