Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Navigation Using Deep Learning

Abstract

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have become a hot topic around the world. They are used in military applications as well as in private industry. UAV navigation is one of the most important areas in UAV development. Object detection and tracking, autonomous landing and obstacle avoidance have been researched for many years. Thanks to the development of deep learning, researchers are able to utilize such tools to improve their navigation algorithms. This chapter will briefly demonstrate several applications of deep learning in UAV navigation.
