Abstract

The organic salts of type [S][Br](S = quinolinium-N-ethyl bromide and 3-methyl-N-benzyl bromide) were prepared by N-alkylation in acetonitrile solution. The series of new complex salts of type [S]2[MCl2Br2] were synthesized by a slow addition of ethanolic solution of metal ions Mn2+, Fe2+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+ to a solution of organic salts. Followed by reflux for 3 hr, then the solid product was isolated by filtration, washed and dried. These complex salts have been characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-vis.-spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductivity.
