Athermal Mach-Zehnder Interferometer with Heterogeneous Cladding for Bio-Sensing

Abstract

We propose an all-silicon temperature-insensitive Mach-Zehnder interferometer designed for biosensing applications. The interferometer demonstrates near-zero temperature sensitivity of 1.2 pm/°C near 1550 nm wavelength with a bulk sensitivity of -465 nm/ RIU.
