Underlay CR-NOMA Relaying Networks over Non-Homogeneous Generalized Fading Channels

Abstract

In this paper, we studied a decode-and-forward underlay cognitive radio non-orthogonal multiple access (CR-NOMA) relaying system over non-homogeneous generalized alpha-mu fading channels. We derived accurate analytical expressions in closed form of the outage probability (OP) for two secondary end-users (E1 and E2). We considered three special cases of the alpha-mu statistical model. Moreover, we evaluated the impact of several system and fading parameters on the OP performance of the considered CR-NOMA. We also obtained simplified closed-form approximations to gain useful insights on the system performance. Finally, the analysis is verified by the good agreement with Monte Carlo simulations.
