Abstract

Power distribution system condition changes dynamically due to presence of distributed energy resources (DERs). This can cause failure of protection system of meshed system. To cope with changing system condition, settings of numerical directional overcurrent relays should be changed accordingly. This paper provides calculation of relay settings using GAMS.
