The topic of this study is framed in learning organizations. The goal of this research is to analyze the perceptions of educational managers about organizational learning at a higher technological education institute in Callao. The applied method is a single case study. We worked with two categories: the first one, the generation of organizational learning, and the second one, the sustainability of organizational learning. The gathering of information was conducted through semi-structured interviews conducted with each of the educational managers of the institution. The analysis of the findings concluded that, in this educational organization, the generation of organizational learning begins with individuals’ knowledge and experiences, which are integrated as collective learning through teamwork; this process of integration demands the presence of a leader, who emerges naturally and contributes to maintaining the motivation and cohesion of the team towards the challenge of achieving shared goals, by generating new knowledge for the organization. For the sustainability of this new knowledge, the members of the educational institution draw upon the documentation of organizational learning, training and permanent self-assessment.
