Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) is a non-receptor cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase, which acts as an important intracellular scaffold protein and a major mediator of many signaling pathways.FAK is involved in multiple processes of tumorigenesis, such as cell migration, survival, proliferation, stretch, adhesion, invasion, and anti-apoptosis.Recently,FAK has become a research hotspot of potential target for cancer treatment. Therefore,a clear mechanism of the process of FAK involved in lung cancer angiogenesis, invasion and metastasis is helpful for better understanding of FAK as an important antiangiogenic agent and even anti-cancer drug. Key words: Focal adhesion kinase ; Angiogenesis ; Lung cancer; Growth factor
